The 28-year-old man, whom New York City police identified as Oscar Belgal, was shot in the neck Thursday as he drove his car with a 5-year-old boy inside, officials said.

An ICE officer fired at least seven rounds into a car on a crowded New York City street, officials said, wounding a man they were trying to detain while a 5-year-old sat in the car. Mayor Mamdani denounced the agency and said ICE should be abolished.
